Royal Building of Mafra - February 5th to 20th

The international exhibition “Surrealism Now”, the largest exhibition of the surrealist movement of the 21st century, will be open to the public at Escola das Armas, in Mafra, with the support of the Municipality of Mafra. The opening is scheduled for February 5th, at 5 pm.

This exhibition includes works by 125 artists, from 52 countries, as well as a tribute to Isabel Meyrelles, one of the most recognized Portuguese surrealists. A solidarity concert, in favor of AFIM, by the Mafra Choral Group, will take place on February 17th.

The “Surrealism Now” project was created by Santiago Ribeiro, a Portuguese surrealist artist, having started in 2010, at the Bissaya Barreto Foundation, in Coimbra, and toured several cities.

Opening hours: every day, from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Entry can be made through the door of the Old Court (Escola das Armas), as well as through the South Cloister.
